수행할 주요 업무:
- 발달 장애를 가진 클라이언트 평가, 치료적 재활 개입 계획 수립, 치료적 재활 그룹 운영, 재활적 정신건강(HMH) 프로그램 내 그룹 진행 및 재판 준비 평가 중인 환자 지원, 개인의 진척도 평가
- 클라이언트의 진척 상황 및 긴급 사건 기록을 클라이언트 차트에 기록합니다.
- 모든 프로그램에 대한 출석 관리
- 재활치료 그룹 중 환자의 진척 상황에 대한 의견을 제공합니다.
- 평가 및 치료 회의(ETCs) 참석 및 환자 치료 계획 수립 지원
- 주기적으로 정해진 임상 회의 참석
- 휴일, 특별 행사 및 다양성 활동 등 HMH 재활 부서가 주최하는 이벤트 지원
- 증거 기반 재활치료 서비스 검토 및 향상을 위한 재활 품질 관리 활동 참여

DSHS WSH Recreation Therapist 2
Join the Behavioral Health and Habilitation Administration (BHAA) and make a meaningful impact in your community as a Recreation Therapist 2 at Western State Hospital in Lakewood, WA. Help shape the future of behavioral health services in Washington State while advocating for individuals in need.
As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive Recreation Therapy Services, including conducting assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and evaluating therapeutic recreation interventions to support patient well-being.
Some of what you'll do:
- Assess clients with developmental disabilities, plan therapeutic recreation interventions, conduct therapeutic recreation groups, conduct groups within the Habilitative Mental Health (HMH) program and patients being evaluated for their competency to stand trial, and evaluate individual's progress
- Documents client's progress and/or emergent incident involving clients in the client chart
- Maintain attendance for all programs led
- As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the RT (Recreation Therapist) provides input regarding patient's progress during recreation therapy groups
- Attends Evaluation and Treatment Conferences (ETCs) and assists in formulation of patient's treatment plan
- Attends weekly clinical meetings as scheduled
- Assists with HMH Recreational Department sponsored events such as holidays, special events and diversity activities as needed
- Participates in Rehab Quality Management activities to review/enhance evidence-based TR services
What we're looking for:
- Strong leadership, planning, and facilitation skills
- Ability to confidently lead groups of adults with a variety of mental and behavioral health challenges
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge and experience in intervening and de-escalating in crisis or potentially dangerous situations with the ability to safely physically intervene to protect patients from harming themselves or others by following agency policy and procedures
Who should apply?
- Professionals who have graduated from an accredited Therapeutic Recreation program and have at least 18 months of professional therapeutic recreation experience.
- Those with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional information:
- Pierce County employees are eligible to receive an Orca Card for transportation needs.
- Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
