BELLEVUE, Wash. —Officers arrested an elderly man for investigation of possession of child sexual abuse material last weekend.
Bellevue officers were doing a welfare check on a 78-year-old man when they went to his home around 1:14 p.m. on Saturday.
At first, after knocking on his door many times, officers got no response. But they went to the back door of the man’s home on 151st Ave SE, they saw him displaying what appeared to be numerous images of child sexual abuse on a desk.
Police said when they spoke with the man, he admitted to having large quantities of explicit material at his home and at a storage unit.
Officers quickly took him into custody and booked him into the King County jail.
