SEATTLE — More than 75,000 people were without power in western Washington Saturday as a weather system made its way through the region.
According to Puget Sound Energy (PSE), 75,000 customers were without power as of 6:00 p.m.
Tacoma Public Utilities reported an outage Saturday evening affecting more than 21,000 customers.

PSE said Friday that it is closely monitoring this weekend’s forecast, including Saturday’s wind advisory. It said crews are prepared to respond to outages.
According to the Sedro-Wooley Police Department, a multi-vehicle crash near Wicker Road and Fruitdale Road temporarily caused a power outage in the region. Police said crews extricated those involved and that they are “safely away” from the scene. Police said PSE crews responded to the scene and restored most of the outages.
