SEATTLE — Drivers heading into Seattle this weekend should prepare for a full closure of westbound State Route 520 between 92nd Avenue Northeast and Interstate 5.
The closure begins at 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, and will last until 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27. All westbound ramps and the SR 520 Trail across Lake Washington will also be closed during that time.

There’s a brief exception for Husky fans. To help people get to the UW football game, crews will temporarily reopen westbound SR 520 and the trail from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25. Once the game is over, the highway and trail will close again through early Monday morning.
Eastbound SR 520 will stay open all weekend, allowing drivers to return to the Eastside without detours.
The weekend closure will give WSDOT crews time to complete final work on the Montlake Project, including the installation of new signs, the repair of an expansion joint, and other construction tasks.
The agency says drivers should plan ahead and expect delays throughout the weekend.
