ISSAQUAH, Wash. —A 21-year-old volunteer at the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery has been arrested following a months-long investigation by the Issaquah Police Department.
The man is accused of making a series of false emergency calls to 911 and the Suicide Prevention Hotline, triggering multiple emergency responses.

The calls, made between late July and late September 2025, included false reports of active shooters, bomb threats, stabbings, seizures, and other medical emergencies at the hatchery.
The suspect, who has been charged with eleven counts of false reporting, was arrested on Sept. 30, after detectives confirmed his involvement.
During a recorded interview, police said the man admitted to making the false reports, citing emotional distress and poor decision-making.The Issaquah Police Departmenthas booked him into Issaquah City Jailon ten counts of False Reporting in the 3rd Degree and one count of Attempted False Reporting.
