DSHS Lakeland Village - Attendant Counselor 1/Direct Support Professional
Lakeland Village Residential Habilitation Center has immediate openings for Direct Support Professionals on all shifts. In this role, you’ll coach, teach, and mentor adults in a supportive, home-like environment alongside a team dedicated to making a difference. You’ll follow Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) and Nursing Home regulations as part of an interdisciplinary team, promoting quality care and preventing abuse or neglect.

Some of what you will do:
- Assist adults with personal care needs, including hygiene, grooming, bathing, and toileting.
- Provide direct care, support, and individualized training tailored to each resident.
- Actively engage residents in learning opportunities that promote independence and daily living skills.
- Support individuals with complex care needs through compassionate and consistent intervention.
- Accompany and transport residents to on- and off-campus appointments and recreational activities.
- Accurately document care provided and report any changes in condition or behavior.

Who should apply?
- Professionals with a High School Diploma/GED OR one year of experience working with people with Intellectual/developmental Disabilities.
- An existing Washington State Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is a plus but not required.
Evening and Night shifts include a shift differential in addition to the standard compensation rate.
Opportunities performed on site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
If hired, New Employee Orientation (NEO) will begin in February 2026.
